Roofing & Lead Work
Paul Dixon Ltd re-roof houses matching existing slate to ensure roofs are in keeping with the style of building, often sourcing older materials to sensitively recycle resources. New build roofs can be slated from either reclaimed slate or using new green or blue Burlington slate. In recognition of minimizing the carbon footprint of buildings roofs are insulated with very efficient insulation systems often utilising Kingspan or Actis insulation.
To ensure quality of finish and longevity of use Paul has used traditional lime tieiring where appropriate and also modern breathable fabrics to protect roofs.
Paul Dixon Ltd carries out lead work on roofs and chimneys. Lead safes are fitted through chimneys as is seen on the photos to ensure long term protection form water infiltration and many years of trouble free use of the chimneys.
To enhance light into properties and through improved roof design Paul has custom built large roof lights made from glass, timber and lead alternatively Velux or new conservation sky lights can be fitted. During times of inclement weather 'Canopies' are erected to protect the property and also allow work to be continue without interruption, saving time and cost but also improving consistency of quality throughout the construction.
Cast iron guttering and cast down pipes are used to give a quality finish to all traditional roof work.
